One of our goals at CarfaxAbbey.net is to create a collection of legends, folklore, ghost stories, and even UFO sightings from the DelMarVa Penninsula.
Folklore may be defined as the traditional beliefs, myths, tales, and practices of a people, transmitted by word of mouth.
A Legend is an unverified story handed down from earlier times, especially one popularly believed to be historical or a romanticized or popularized myth of modern times.
